Footpath Working Party
In addition to organising Guided Walks, Alde Valley Ramblers operate an active Footpath Working Party group which meets regularly to survey and maintain Public Rights of Way around our area.
Works vary from simple surveys to assess the state of paths and cutting back shrubbery, to replacing waymark discs and posts and creating or repairing steps. Some of this work is done in conjunction with the Suffolk County Council Rights of Way office.
The working party group is always looking for additional members. Our sessions are usually no more than a light work-out and last around 2 hours followed by a visit to a nearby pub. If you are interested, please contact the Footpath Working Party Coordinator via the Contacts tab.
